On all credit card transactions where the card is not physically present, we require the Security Code also called a CID or CVV code. Debit/Check cards are only accepted in person and you must be able to type your PIN into the PIN pad.

How to find your card security code:
On a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, turn your card over and look on the signature strip. You will find either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits, followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your card security code.

On American Express and Optima Cards, the CID number is a 4-digit number that appears above the end of your card number.

What is the card security code?
This is a security measure now being required for all transactions when the card is not present to be swiped. Since the card security code is a number is listed on your credit card, but is not stored anywhere including the magnetic strip, the only way to know the correct number for your credit card is to physically have possession of the card itself. All VISA, MasterCard, Optima, and American Express cards made in America in the past 6 years or so have a security code number, while those in Europe and Asia have joined more recently. Discover has recently begun to provide these numbers.

Can I give you my credit card number over the phone or via e-mail?
No. Never send anyone a credit card number via e-mail: that's just asking for trouble. Protect your credit card number. For security reasons, we will only accept credit cards via PayPal, in-person presentation, or using one of our forms above. Please note, we require a copy of the front and back of the credit card in order to accept a card using the above forms. If you cannot comply, we cannot accept your card: use PayPal.

Can I send someone else to use my credit card?
No. If the name on the card does not match the name on the person's photo ID, we will not accept it. There are no exceptions. The rules set for by the credit card companies demand that only the person's name who is embossed on the card can present it. We will accept corporate cards in someone else's name when presented with a signed letter of authorization and copy of the person's photo identification.

Can I get a refund?
No. We do not give refunds for any reason. This has been our policy for over fifty years and it has not changed. It is clearly posted, as required by state law, at our place of business and is clearly printed on all invoices, picking tickets, and credit card receipts. We are not a retail outlet. Please visit one of our many clients who buy from us and re-sell our material. Many of them will give refunds. Yes, you will pay a lot more. If you want our low prices you have to abide by our policies. We will accept returns for in-store credit, less any applicable restocking fees, within the first 30 days on many items (there are exceptions clearly printed on the back of your invoice). In-store credit must be used within six months or it will expire. Again, we will not give you a refund, issue a credit to your card, give you a check, or make any other concession. Make sure you know what you want. We do, however, gladly give exchanges on most products.

Is it true some items are not returnable at all?
Yes. Some items are not returnable for any reason whatsoever: security screws and drivers, hurricane items bought when a watch/warning is in place, tools, all epoxies, sealants, chemical capsules, tools, special order items, re-worked items (painting, plating, drilling, etcetera), and boxes when ripped, torn, damaged, or incomplete. Any item which has a lot number or serial number and that number has been removed or tampered with is not returnable for any reason, nor can most items with lot numbers be returned due to federal control regulations. This list is not complete but gives you a general idea of what you can't return.

What are your terms of sale?
Our terms of sale are clearly printed on the back of all invoices, sales tickets, and pick tickets. No employee is authorized to make any changes to those terms of service. Only an officer of the company can change those terms, and those changes must be in writing and signed prior to the sale taking place. We're not trying to be difficult, and most of our customers understand, but we are not a retail company and as such do not have retail policies. We are a true wholesale company and to afford our customers the special prices they've come to expect, we stick to our rules. We sell to many companies who have more lenient rules, but you will have to pay their mark-up which in some cases may be substantial. To see the full document with our complete terms of sale, click here. You'll need MS Word. Disclaimer: The text on the back of the invoice provided is the one that governs the sale in question.
