It is unlawful to use the name Tampin to refer to any product that was not purchased from Interstate Screw Corporation or its licensees. We actively prosecute violations of this trademark. Tampin® and Star Tampin® are registered trademarks of Interstate Screw Corporation. Tampin® brand machine screw anchors may only be purchased from us. Counterfeit products endanger lives! Product that is sold under the name Tampin® must be purchased from Interstate Screw Corporation. There are no other legal licensees at this time. If you have not purchased your product directly from us (or from Star prior to their bankruptcy) and you are a reseller, then you are also required to perform due diligence to make sure your product is legal Tampin®. If you suspect a violation, please report it to us immediately. If you are a reseller: If you sell Tampin®, there are specific product labelling requirements. There are also requirements for the use of the name on all paperwork including invoices, packing slips, and advertising. We actively prosecute violations of this trademark. Product may be sold in both bulk and "boxed with tool" configurations. The tool may be referred to as "Tampin® Installation Tool" only when sold with Tampins®. The product packaging shall be clearly marked on the outside of the box on the primary label "The name Tampin® is a registered trademark used under license." This label shall be applied by the factory and not a subsequent reseller and it may not be altered by a subsequent reseller. The invoicing and packing slips of the licensee should consider using a second line stating: "The name Tampin® is a registered trademark." However, a reseller is only required to use the Tampin and the ® symbol and no second line of text. All references to the product in any advertising must include one of the following two statements: "The name Tampin® is a registered trademark of Interstate Screw Corporation" or "The name Tampin® is a registered trademark used under license." You are required by law to provide anyone who asks the name of the licensor or, if you prefer, the name of the licensee from whom you purchased the product. If you sell both generic product and Tampin® product you must keep two sets of inventory, two sets of part numbers, and your sales people must clearly explain the difference. It is important to understand we have no tolerance for misuse of the name.You are also legally obligated to provide on demand written documentation showing you have purchased enough Tampin® product to cover your sales. If you do not agree to this, you may not sell using the Tampin® name. Resellers who misuse or violate these terms will be subject to trademark infringement actions in a court of law.
